Bursaries and Travel Grants

We are pleased to announce that we have a number of bursaries and travel grants for travel to GISRUK and SpaceTimeAI, kindly supported by GISRUK, the Royal Geographical Society's Quantitative Methods and GIS Research Groups and the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis. Grants will be awarded by the scientific committee to eligible participants based on the scientific merits of their submission.

Two types of grants are offered, which will be divided between participants of GISRUK and SpaceTimeAI:

Inclusive travel grants

We are keen to encourage people from underrepresented groups to attend the conference, including female, black and minority ethnic, LGBT+ or disabled participants. Two grants of £250 each are available for eligible participants, including waived conference registration fees.

ECR travel grants and bursaries

GISRUK is able to offer bursaries to cover fees for ~ten early career researchers. In addition to this, eight grants of £100, divided between GISRUK and SpaceTimeAI, will be awarded to fund travel to the conference.
